Sustainability

A “Green Planet” starts within the factory

More than 30 years ago, Acecook Vietnam began with the mission “Contributing to society through cuisine.” This journey is not only measured by billions of noodle packets served to consumers but also by the company’s step-by-step efforts to reduce emissions, minimize plastic use, and utilize energy directly at its factories.

From this philosophy, “Green Planet” has gradually become one of the pillars of the sustainable development strategy that the enterprise has persistently pursued for many years.

For Acecook Vietnam, sustainable development is not implemented through fragmented projects but is designed as a closed loop—starting from production, accompanying the product, spreading to the community, and returning from the internal changes within the enterprise itself.

Green energy transition plays a crucial role in the sustainable development strategies of businesses. For Acecook Vietnam, the journey towards a “Green Planet” also begins with optimizing energy.

Rooftop solar power systems are used for production activities and the main office building at Tan Binh Industrial Park (HCMC).

To achieve this goal, Acecook Vietnam has installed solar power systems at its Head Office and factory in Ho Chi Minh City, generating an average of 900,000 kWh/year, enough to produce approximately 36 million packets of Hao Hao noodles. The adoption of clean energy not only brings significant economic benefits but also demonstrates the company’s strong commitment to reducing CO2 emissions, actively contributing to environmental protection.

In parallel with the installation of solar power, Acecook is also actively deploying other renewable fuel sources into its production processes.

Since 2021, the company has installed liquid petroleum gas (LPG) boiler systems at some factories. This conversion has brought clear efficiency, reducing CO2 emissions by approximately 43%, NOx (nitrogen oxides) by 70%, and eliminating SO2 (sulfur oxides) emissions. Additionally, traditional boilers are gradually being replaced with rice husk-fired boilers—an environmentally friendly and cost-effective biofuel. Since 2023, Acecook Vietnam has continued to accelerate the transition to biomass-fueled boilers for its remaining factories.

Thanks to these efforts, the company has increased its use of green energy to 52% by 2025.

With continuous efforts in production innovation and the application of green technology, Acecook Vietnam is affirming its pioneering role as a business that integrates its operations with the sustainable development goals of society as a whole. All of this is guided by the strategy “Cook Happiness Through Innovation,” where every action of Acecook Vietnam conveys a message of dedication, responsibility, and the aspiration to create sustainable value.

The journey of emission reduction is just one of many steps Acecook Vietnam is implementing on its path to sustainable development. From energy transition and the circular economy to community initiatives, all are directed towards a common goal: building a “Green Planet” for today and future generations.
