Acecook Vietnam: A Sustainable Development Journey Toward a Greener Planet

More than three decades ago, Acecook Vietnam began with the mission of “contributing to society through food.” Today, that journey is measured not only by the billions of products served to consumers, but also by the company’s ongoing efforts to reduce emissions, use green energy, and help restore ecosystems. For Acecook Vietnam, sustainable development is not a standalone project—it is embedded in the way the company operates every day.

Since laying its foundations in Vietnam, Acecook Vietnam has pursued the belief that business growth must go hand in hand with community development. From this philosophy, a “Green Planet” has gradually become one of the core pillars of the company’s long-term sustainability strategy.

A “Green Planet” Starts Within the Factory

At Acecook Vietnam, sustainability is not implemented through isolated initiatives. Instead, it is designed as a closed-loop cycle—starting with production, accompanying products, extending to communities, and returning through changes within the company itself.

Green energy transition plays an important role in businesses’ sustainable development strategies. For Acecook Vietnam, the journey toward a “Green Planet” also begins with energy optimization.

Rooftop solar power systems are used for production activities and at the main office building in Tan Binh Industrial Park, Ho Chi Minh City.

To achieve this goal, Acecook Vietnam has installed solar power systems at its Head Office and factory in Ho Chi Minh City, generating an average of 900,000 kWh of electricity per year—enough to produce approximately 36 million packs of Hao Hao instant noodles. The adoption of clean energy not only delivers significant economic benefits but also demonstrates the company’s strong commitment to reducing CO2 emissions and contributing to environmental protection.

Alongside solar power installation, Acecook is actively integrating other renewable fuel sources into its production processes.

Since 2021, the company has installed liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) boiler systems at several factories. This transition has delivered clear results: CO2 emissions have been reduced by approximately 43%, nitrogen oxide (NOx) emissions by 70%, while sulfur dioxide (SO2) emissions have been completely eliminated. In addition, conventional boilers are gradually being replaced with biomass boilers—an environmentally friendly and cost-effective biofuel solution. Since 2023, Acecook Vietnam has continued to accelerate the transition to biomass-fueled boilers at its remaining factories.

The journey to reduce emissions does not begin with communication campaigns, but with changes directly within production lines.

Thanks to these efforts, the company increased its proportion of green energy use to 52% by 2025.

In addition, Acecook Vietnam repurposes production by-products as animal feed through partnerships rather than disposing of them. As a result, approximately 1,500 tonnes of by-products are recycled each year.

Practical Actions for the Environment

Beyond factory grounds, Acecook Vietnam’s “green circle” has recently expanded into forests. Marking its tenth year of organization, Acecook Happiness Concert 2026 allocated all concert ticket revenue to implement a project to plant 10,500 seedlings in Quang Tri Province, including Trang–Ta Puong Hamlet in Huong Lap Commune and Chênh Vênh, Cát, Hồ, and Xa Bai hamlets in Huong Phung Commune. This area is the first natural forest in Vietnam to receive FSC-ES certification for ecosystem services, carbon absorption, and carbon storage.

The reforestation project is being implemented in three phases and will continue through 2027.

The reforestation project in Quang Tri can be considered an important expansion of the “Green Planet” sustainability goal. Unlike many short-term community initiatives, the project aims to create long-term, trackable, and measurable environmental impacts—from carbon sequestration and biodiversity restoration to water source protection and soil erosion prevention.

A “Green Planet” Is Built From Thousands of Small Actions

Environmental protection is promoted not only in production but also throughout Acecook Vietnam’s internal operations. The company maintains initiatives such as reducing printing and encouraging employees to practice the 4R principles—Refuse, Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle—in their daily lives.

Acecook Vietnam continues to be recognized among Vietnam’s Top 50 Outstanding Sustainable Businesses in 2026.

These efforts are measured not only through environmental indicators but are also recognized by independent organizations. In 2026, Acecook Vietnam was once again honored among the Top 50 Outstanding Sustainable Businesses in Vietnam (CSA 2026) in the category of “Pioneer in Waste Reduction.”

Through concrete actions and a sense of responsibility embedded in every product, Acecook Vietnam is contributing to a greener, more sustainable future for generations to come, while bringing its vision to life: becoming a “comprehensive food company that develops sustainably and reaches international standards.”
