ACECOOK VIETNAM ACCOMPANIES THE NATIONAL WEEK FOR NATURAL DISASTER PREVENTION AND CONTROL 2026: JOINING HANDS FOR A SAFE AND SUSTAINABLE COMMUNITY
Continuing the journey to spread the “Happy Society” value, Acecook Vietnam accompanies the series of activities responding to the National Week for Natural Disaster Prevention and Control 2026, contributing to raising awareness and enhancing disaster response skills for the community, media professionals, and the younger generation.
This is a clear testament to Acecook Vietnam’s long-term commitment to fulfilling its social responsibility, joining hands to build a happy community, and improving the capacity to respond to the extreme developments of climate change.
Enhancing safe reporting skills during natural disasters
In May 2026, Acecook Vietnam continued to accompany the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment, the Department of Dike Management and Natural Disaster Prevention and Control, and local leaders to implement a series of activities responding to the National Week for Natural Disaster Prevention and Control 2026 in Thai Nguyen province. This included community communication-education programs, activities for students, professional training seminars, and a national launching ceremony, aiming to raise awareness, enhance response skills, and spread a proactive spirit in the face of natural disasters.

Following the Golden Bell Challenge “Joining Hands with Children in Disaster Prevention – Creating a Sustainable Future” previously launched within the program’s framework, Acecook Vietnam continued to accompany the Training Workshop on “Safe journalism skills during natural disasters for disaster prevention specialized reporters in the Northern region” and the Launching Meeting for the National Week for Natural Disaster Prevention and Control 2026.
The program was organized to improve journalism skills, risk assessment capabilities, and ensure the safety of reporters while covering news in areas affected by natural disasters.
In the context of storms, floods, landslides, and increasingly complex extreme weather phenomena, the press plays a particularly crucial role in providing prompt, accurate, and reliable information to the community. Timely warnings regarding evacuation, shelters, and self-protection skills can significantly reduce casualties and property damage.
Beyond just delivering news, reporters directly face harsh weather conditions, dangerous terrain, and continuous operational pressure at disaster scenes. Therefore, equipping them with skills to identify risks, assess scenes, use protective gear, and handle emergencies is of practical significance, contributing to the safety of journalists and maintaining a continuous, accurate flow of information to the community.
The community joins hands in natural disaster prevention and control
Furthermore, within the framework of the program, the launching meeting for the National Week for Natural Disaster Prevention and Control 2026 with the theme “The community joins hands in natural disaster prevention and control” also attracted the participation of leaders from the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment, Thai Nguyen provincial leaders, central ministries and sectors, international organizations, press agencies, and more than 1,200 teachers and students in the province.

Within the event’s framework, many meaningful communication and educational activities for students were held. Notably, Acecook Vietnam accompanied and awarded prizes for the painting competition “Perspectives before Natural Disasters”—a competition that attracted over 11,000 students from 11 primary schools in Phan Dinh Phung ward, where students expressed their views, thoughts, and creative ideas about a proactive and safe community in the face of natural disasters.
Efforts to dedicate to the community
According to Mr. Nguyen Van Tien, Deputy Director of the Department of Natural Disaster Prevention and Control, since 2022, Acecook Vietnam has accompanied the Department, always proactively and promptly mobilizing resources and providing essential products directly to people in affected areas. The company has implemented numerous activities to support people in disaster areas and raise community awareness about disaster prevention and control, helping citizens proactively respond, minimize damage, and quickly stabilize their lives after natural disasters.
For Acecook Vietnam, every accompanying program is not just resource support but also demonstrates the enterprise’s long-term commitment to contributing to building a proactive community capable of better adapting and recovering from natural disaster risks.
Not stopping at short-term community support activities, Acecook Vietnam is gradually promoting a sustainable development orientation with the goal of striving to build the “Sustainable Community” pillar—one of the six crucial pillars in the enterprise’s development journey.
By accompanying the National Week for Natural Disaster Prevention and Control 2026, Acecook Vietnam continues to spread the “Happy Society” value—towards building a safer, more proactive, and more sustainable society in the face of natural disasters. From enhancing skills for media teams and spreading knowledge to the younger generation to supporting the community during difficult times, Acecook believes that today’s practical actions will contribute to creating stronger community resilience against the challenges of the future.
