ACECOOK VIETNAM HONORED IN TOP 50 OUTSTANDING SUSTAINABLE ENTERPRISES IN VIETNAM 2026 FOR ITS WASTE REDUCTION EFFORTS

Acecook Vietnam has been honored in the TOP 50 Outstanding Sustainable Enterprises in Vietnam 2026 (Corporate Sustainability Awards – CSA 2026) under category E – Pioneering in Waste Reduction, thanks to its efforts in minimizing waste, using resources efficiently, and promoting a circular economy.

This marks the second consecutive year the company has been recognized at the awards, affirming its consistent commitment to sustainable development throughout its business and production activities.

From Waste Reduction to Promoting a Circular Economy

This is the second year in a row that Acecook Vietnam has been recognized at the awards, a testament to its sustainable development direction implemented across its business and production operations, with a focus on reducing waste at the source and improving resource efficiency.

The CSA is an annual awards program organized by Nhip Cau Dau Tu Magazine, featuring a judging panel of prestigious organizations, to honor pioneering enterprises in sustainable development in Vietnam. In 2026, the program entered its 5th year with the theme “The Great 3P Transformation” (Profit – People – Planet), aiming to recognize businesses that create a balance of value between the economy, people, and the environment through tangible, measurable results.

Reducing Waste at the Source

With a sustainable development orientation where business efficiency goes hand-in-hand with environmental responsibility, Acecook Vietnam not only treats generated waste but also simultaneously minimizes it from the initial production and operational stages. This approach served as the foundation for the company to cut its total solid waste by 22% in 2025, equivalent to approximately 3,530 tons compared to 2024.

Acecook Vietnam representative receives the award for Top 50 Outstanding Sustainable Enterprises in Vietnam.

This achievement stems from numerous improvement initiatives implemented across its factories nationwide. A key example is the optimization of the microbial treatment process, which significantly reduces the amount of sludge from the wastewater treatment system. The company also thoroughly recovers fine rice flour generated during the rice washing process for rice noodle production and strictly controls the raw material feeding process to enhance boiler combustion efficiency and reduce ash and slag output.

These innovations not only help decrease the amount of waste requiring disposal but also contribute to more efficient use of raw materials and optimized production operations.

Promoting a Circular Economy from Packaging to Recycling

In parallel with reducing waste in production, Acecook Vietnam continues to advance its packaging greening roadmap. Since 2022, the company has been gradually replacing plastic materials with paper for its cup and bowl noodle product lines. By the end of 2025, the conversion rate had surpassed 90%, helping to cut over 6,830 tons of plastic from being released into the natural environment.

Furthermore, the company actively collaborates with specialized partners in the packaging collection and recycling sector to extend the material lifecycle in line with a circular economy model. In 2025 alone, Acecook Vietnam signed contracts for the recycling of over 1,500 tons of plastic and 8,000 tons of various types of paper, helping to reduce the pressure on natural resources and limit the amount of waste needing disposal.

In its internal operations, the company continues to maintain a reuse rate of about 90% for its pallet and plastic basket systems. Materials that no longer meet usage standards are transferred to recycling units for material recovery and recycling for other purposes, contributing to the promotion of a circular economy and efficient resource use.

Sustainable Development from Small Actions

Beyond large-scale initiatives in its production activities, Acecook Vietnam also consistently spreads the green-living spirit to its own employees through many practical activities in the daily work environment.

Programs such as installing waste-sorting bins at the source and the monthly “No Non-Recyclable Plastic Day” have helped raise awareness and gradually build environmentally responsible habits among all staff members.

Simultaneously, Acecook Vietnam promotes the 4R principle (Refuse – Reduce – Reuse – Recycle) at its factories and offices. It fosters the digitalization of work processes, encourages the use of electronic documents and digital signatures, and limits unnecessary printing to minimize resource consumption.

From proper waste sorting and limiting single-use plastics to shifting work habits towards digitalization, every small action contributes to positive change. These efforts not only help reduce environmental impact but also progressively build a culture of sustainable development and enhance each employee’s sense of responsibility towards the community and future generations.

Acecook Vietnam is honored in Category E – Pioneering in Waste Reduction.

ESG as the Foundation for Long-Term Growth

As requirements for ESG, circular economy, and emissions reduction increasingly become crucial standards for businesses, Acecook Vietnam identifies sustainable development not only as a responsibility to the environment and society but also as a foundation for enhancing competitiveness and creating long-term value.

Accordingly, the company integrates ESG factors into its development strategy through six pillars: Sustainable Products, Responsible Manufacturer, Green Planet, Happy Employees, Sustainable Community, and Responsible Governance.

Being honored once again in the Top 50 Outstanding Sustainable Enterprises in Vietnam 2026, especially in Category E – Pioneering in Waste Reduction, is a recognition of Acecook Vietnam’s efforts on its journey to realize the Green Planet goal, aiming to create sustainable value for the environment, the community, and future generations.
