Acecook Vietnam joins the “Plastic-Free Day with No Recyclable Plastics” with a green series of activities at the Head Office

Aiming for sustainable development and building a Green – Clean – Civilized working environment, on December 18, 2025, Acecook Vietnam organized a series of activities in response to “Non-Recyclable Plastic Reduction Day” at the Head Office, with the active participation of a large number of employees.

In line with the Green Planet objective within its Sustainable Development strategy, the company is implementing the 4R model: Refuse, Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle, to help minimize waste released into the environment and conserve natural resources.

In addition to the waste sorting activities already underway at the Head Office, the Sustainable Development Promotion Department further launched the “Non-Recyclable Plastic Reduction Day” program.

Live Green Through Small Actions

“Non-Recyclable Plastic Reduction Day” is a day when Acecook Vietnam’s employees minimize the use of non-recyclable plastic items such as nylon bags, foam boxes, plastic cups, straws, plastic lids, etc., in their daily lives.

One of the prominent activities was a multiple-choice quiz on plastic knowledge and Non-Recyclable Plastic Reduction Day, conducted online on December 17–18, 2025. Through concise, accessible questions, the program helped employees better understand the impact of non-recyclable plastic on the environment, as well as the role of each individual in reducing daily plastic waste.

The atmosphere of the program became even more vibrant as correct answers also brought discount vouchers for purchasing drinks at the company canteen. In parallel, the activity also encouraged employees to bring their personal water bottles – a small habit that brings great value in limiting the use of single-use plastic items.

The combination of knowledge, interaction, and practical gifts helped the activity not only convey information but also become an enjoyable experience, contributing to spreading a green lifestyle in the daily working environment.

“Office Green Heroes” – When the Entire Team Acts for the Environment

Not only focusing on individuals, Acecook Vietnam also launched the “Office Green Heroes” activity – Commending Green Work Floors, to encourage teamwork in reducing plastic waste.

Based on the average plastic waste generated per employee on December 18, 2025, the Organizing Committee selected and commended the work floor with the most impressive results, as a way to recognize the persistent but silent efforts of the team. The results were widely disseminated through internal emails and screen systems in the canteen, contributing to expanding the spirit of “living green together” throughout the company.

From Small Actions to Long-Term Sustainable Value

“Non-Recyclable Plastic Reduction Day” is not just an annual event but a reminder of the shared responsibility of businesses and individuals towards the living environment. Through this series of activities, Acecook Vietnam continues to affirm its commitment to sustainable development, starting from the working environment itself and the daily habits of its employees.

Every water bottle brought, every single-use plastic item reduced – all contribute to creating long-lasting green values, for Acecook Vietnam itself and for the community.

Additionally, on this day, the company canteen did not provide food items containing plastic, such as yogurt cups, flan cups, nylon bags, and plastic lids, and meeting rooms did not use plastic water bottles when hosting guests. In cases where customers/partners were hosted on the day of the activity, the company encouraged departments to inform guests beforehand about the implementation of “Non-Recyclable Plastic Reduction Day.” This aimed to raise awareness and encourage positive action, and the company fully respected the convenience of its partners, not imposing any restrictive requirements.

The “Non-Recyclable Plastic Reduction Day” activity will be maintained periodically on the third Thursday of each month, starting from December 2025. Acecook Vietnam hopes that Non-Recyclable Plastic Reduction Day will increasingly spread and be embraced by employees and consumers alike. From there, limiting plastic waste will become a positive daily habit.
