Acecook Vietnam Launches Project to Plant 10,500 Trees in Quang Tri

From the ticket sales revenue of the Acecook Happiness Concert 2026, Acecook Vietnam has implemented a project to plant 10,500 trees in Quang Tri province. This initiative aims to contribute to the restoration of the natural forest ecosystem, enhance carbon absorption capacity, and spread environmental protection awareness within the community.

Recently, Acecook Vietnam Joint Stock Company held a handover ceremony and launched the project to plant 10,500 trees in Huong Lap and Huong Phung communes, Quang Tri province. This activity is a continuation of the journey to spread positive values from the Acecook Happiness Concert 2026, where “happy sounds” are not only found in music but are also transformed into practical actions for the community and the environment.

“Sowing Seeds of Happiness – Greening the Future”

The tree planting area is located in Trang – Ta Puong hamlet, Huong Lap commune, Quang Tri province.

The project is being implemented in Trang – Ta Puong hamlet, Huong Lap commune, and the hamlets of Chenh Venh, Cat, Ho, and Xa Bai in Huong Phung commune, Quang Tri province. This area is the first natural forest in Vietnam to have received FSC-ES (FSC Ecosystem Services) certification for ecosystem services, carbon absorption, and storage – a common goal of the Association of Household Groups with FSC Forest Certificates in Quang Tri.

At the ceremony, representatives of Acecook Vietnam handed over 10,500 saplings to the local authorities and the Association of Household Groups with FSC Forest Certificates in Quang Tri. The selected tree species include Tung oil trees (Vernicia montana) and several native species (Gleditsia, Sapindus, Melia azedarach, Gironniera, Chukrasia tabularis, and Dalbergia oliveri) suitable for local ecological conditions.

The planting of these new species will not only help increase forest cover, protect water sources, and prevent soil erosion, but also directly contribute to enhancing carbon absorption capacity, supporting the maintenance of the international FSC-ES standard for the region. These tree species not only have good growth potential to restore the natural ecosystem but also offer economic value, contributing to a stable income source for the local people in the future.

The project is expected to be implemented in three phases:

  • Phase 1 – Handover Ceremony (May 6, 2026): All saplings were handed over.
  • Phase 2 (June – August 2026): Local authorities will prepare the ground and plant 8,000 trees in a scattered manner along the natural forest boundaries, landslide areas, stream banks, and underutilized household land.
  • Phase 3 (estimated 2027): Monitor tree survival rates and conduct supplementary planting of over 2,500 trees to ensure the committed total of 10,500 trees is met.

Mr. Mai Thanh Long – Chairman of the Association of Household Groups with FSC Forest Certificates in Quang Tri affirmed: “The Association of Household Groups with FSC Forest Certificates in Quang Tri commits to continue playing the role of connecting – guiding – and accompanying the community to implement this activity effectively, transparently, and in accordance with the principles of sustainable forest management according to FSC standards and the requirements of the sponsor.”

Continuing the Journey of Happiness Concert – Acecook Happiness Concert

The project to plant 10,500 trees in Quang Tri is funded by the ticket sales revenue from the Acecook Happiness Concert organized by Acecook Vietnam in early 2026.

Through this project, Acecook Vietnam hopes to extend the value of happiness further and more sustainably, linking it with environmental protection and community contributions. This is also a concrete step demonstrating the company’s sustainable development orientation, where business activities always go hand in hand with social and environmental responsibilities.

Sustainable Development Strategy – Action for a Green Planet

Sharing at the ceremony, Mr. Vo Duc Duy – Deputy Director of Da Nang Branch, representing the Board of Directors of Acecook Vietnam Company, stated: “This project is an important link in the company’s sustainable development strategy, where social responsibility always goes hand in hand with protecting the natural ecosystem. Increasing forest cover and restoring biodiversity in Quang Tri not only helps improve air quality and limit soil erosion but also directly realizes the Green Planet goal, one of the six pillars of sustainable development that the company is pursuing. In addition, by directly planting and caring for trees with the local people, Acecook Vietnam hopes to spread awareness about resource protection, thereby creating profound humanistic values for the community and the environment in the long term.”

Mr. Vo Duc Duy – Deputy Director of Da Nang branch, representing Acecook Vietnam, hands over 10,500 local saplings.

From the melodies of the Acecook Happiness Concert to the green shoots planted in the forests of Quang Tri, Acecook Vietnam hopes that the journey of spreading happiness will continue to be extended with sustainable values for the community and the environment. Beyond tree planting, the project is also a commitment from the company to accompany local communities in preserving natural resources, restoring ecosystems, and nurturing a greener future for generations to come.
