ACECOOK VIETNAM ACCOMPANIES PROJECTS SUPPORTING DISADVANTAGED CHILDREN IN PHU YEN PROVINCE

On October 9, 2024, Acecook Vietnam Joint Stock Company, in collaboration with the National Fund for Vietnamese Children (NFVC) and the Phu Yen Provincial Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs, organized a support program for underprivileged children in the province. The program is part of two projects: “The Happy Noodle Pack” and “Casting the Net of Dreams.” This also marks the fifth year Acecook Vietnam has partnered with “The Happy Noodle Pack” project.

At the event, Acecook Vietnam Joint Stock Company awarded 10 scholarships to children of fishermen under the “Casting the Net of Dreams” project, with each scholarship valued at VND 6 million. The company also granted 70 scholarships, each worth VND 1 million, to underprivileged children with good academic performance or better.

Awarding scholarships to underprivileged children in Phu Yen province

In 2024, through the National Fund for Vietnamese Children, Acecook Vietnam Joint Stock Company is supporting underprivileged children in Phu Yen province via the “The Happy Noodle Pack” and “Casting the Net of Dreams” projects, with a total budget of VND 325 million. The support initiatives include: improving meal portions for 903 children; awarding 70 scholarships; sponsoring 10 orphaned children of fishermen, with each sponsorship valued at VND 6 million; and funding the construction of a clean water facility worth VND 50 million for primary and junior high school students.

This is the fifth year that Acecook Vietnam has partnered with the National Fund for Vietnamese Children (NFVC) to implement “The Happy Noodle Pack” project, aimed at supporting children in especially difficult circumstances. Since 2019, the project has improved meal portions for over 51,000 children, provided 72,034 cartons of noodles, awarded scholarships to nearly 2,250 students, and supplied school supplies to almost 2,200 children. The project has also built a clean water facility for nearly 1,596 children, with a total budget of over VND 15 billion across 63 provinces and cities. The beneficiaries are children aged 4 to 16 from disadvantaged families, ethnic minorities, and autistic children at care centers or institutions. The project has helped raise local awareness of child protection and care, while also assisting project staff in implementing effective childcare methods.

Additionally, in response to the Vietnam Navy’s “Navy Sponsors Fishermen’s Children” program, Acecook Vietnam and the NFVC have collaborated to launch the “Casting the Net of Dreams” project. In 2024, Acecook is supporting 166 children of fishermen in difficult circumstances across 18 coastal provinces and cities, including Quang Ninh, Hai Phong, Nghe An, Quang Binh, Da Nang, Binh Dinh, Khanh Hoa, and Kien Giang. Each child will receive VND 6 million per year. The project aims to provide children with better learning conditions and encourage fishermen to continue their offshore activities, stabilize their livelihoods, and contribute to social welfare in coastal and island regions.
