GIVING AWAY 100 CLEAN WATER TANKS

Acecook Vietnam & VOV Radio brought “Happy Meal” to the drought area of Ninh Thuan Province

On August 4^th, 2016 morning, 100 clean water tanks with 1000-liter capacity were gifted to 100 poor households in the drought area of 2 communes: Phuoc Diem and Phuoc Nam, Thuan Nam District, Ninh Thuan Province. These are the areas under heavy drought in recent time, with many poor households unable to afford big water tanks to store water for daily living and cooking.

Apart from clean water tanks, the people also received one carton of Hao Hao noodles for each and 100,000 VND as transportation fee of water tank from commune center to their home. These gifts, though being small, showed the care and hope of Acecook Vietnam and Vietnam Voice Radio to share the difficulty from natural disasters, contributing to help the people to gradually stabilize their life.

The people of Phuoc Diem commune eagerly transported water tanks back home

At Tam Lang village, Phuoc Nam commune, the most badly affected area by the drought due to El Nino phenomenon from 2014 until now, the people haven’t had any sources of clean water to use; they had to keep the support water sent by Ninh Thuan province from other places. 16 water tanks were also given so that the people here have water storage for living and cooking for their families.
