Recently, some media news about instant noodles taking reference to Chinese food surveys have quoted “Instant noodles are one of the food that may cause cancer in children” and some other news have mentioned that instant noodles contain Bisphenol A causing cancer.
As the leading instant noodle manufacturer in Vietnam, Acecook Vietnam JSC always commits to guarantee the benefits of consumers via food safety products and accurate, transparent information as follows:
1/ Currently, all instant noodle products of Acecook Vietnam are using ingredients of clear origin, selected from reputed suppliers with Certificate of Food Safety and Sanitation, strictly controlled from input to output. The additives used are all in the permitted list with the content complying with regulations of Vietnam Law as well as Codex standards on food safety. All products have quality declaration confirmed by Department of Food Safety – Ministry of Health as “Declaration compliant with food safety regulations”. Thus, they are completely carcinogen-free.
(Categories and content of permitted additives used in instant noodles are clearly regulated in Circular “Instructions on management of food additives” no.27/2012/TT-BYT and no. 08/2015/TT-BYT).
2/ The ingredients of instant noodle products are completely free of Bisphenol A. The product package, plastic bowl, sponge bowl, sponge tray are all tested for quality following “National technical standard on safety and sanitation for package, synthetic plastic tools in direct contact with food QCVN 12-1:2011/BYT”, including regulations on testing of criteria such as safety, heavy metal contamination, experiments on soaking in solution and water at determined temperature and duration.
Indicators on the content of substances with risk of affecting health and chance to cause cancer such as Bisphenol A, content of phthalates derivative… and heavy metal contamination are always under control, guaranteed to follow European Union Community regulations (Regulation EU No.10/2011), meeting the standards of product export.
As of now, there has not been any official scientific researches or information from Ministry of Health or World Health Organization (WHO) mentioning the chance to cause cancer due to using instant noodles. Consumers can be assured to use products of Acecook Vietnam or other reputed instant noodle manufacturers that have quality declaration compliant with food safety regulations.
