- To bring the Vietnamese food culture closer to the people of Japan, Acecook Vietnam has registered April 4 th every year as the anniversary of the Pho of Vietnam.
- On April 2nd 2016, at the EXPO City Osaka Center (Japan), the Declaration ceremony and Certificate awarding for this anniversary took place.
- Attendants to the ceremony included Mr. Muraoka Hiroshi (Chairman of Acecook Company), Mr. Tran Duc Binh (Consul General of Vietnam in Osaka, Japan), Mr. Kase Kiyoshi (President of Japanese Anniversary Association) and Ms. Ayaka Miyoshi – main actress in the TVC for product 「Pho・ccori Kibun」of Acecook Japan.
With the aim to strengthen the relations between Vietnam – Japan and food cultural exchange between the two countries, Acecook Japan (Headquarter: Suita, Osaka) has recreated the typical flavor of traditional Pho of Hanoi, Vietnam by the Instant Pho product named as “Chicken Pho – Pho・ccori Kibun”, on sales since September 2015.
This time, to praise the traditional Pho in Vietnamese food and bring the name “Pho” in Vietnamese language closer to the people of Japan, Acecook Japan has registered April 4th as the “Day of Pho” at the Japanese Anniversary Association. The reason for choosing April 4th is that in English, “4—Four” is pronounced nearly the same with “Pho” so people can remember this day more easily.
After this event, two flavors of Vietnamese Instant Pho “Pho・ccori Kibun – Chicken Pho Flavor” and “Pho・ccori Kibun – Sour and Spicy Tomyum Flavor” shall be available for sales in the convenience stores in Japan. Not only using rice noodles manufactured by the subsidiary of Acecook Vietnam, all the rice ingredients of the rice noodles are also planted in Vietnam with strict management process following Japanese standards. Besides, the gravy of pho has been researched and processed based on the flavors of the famous Pho in different areas in Vietnam, yet it still fits the taste of Japanese people.
With the brand “Pho・ccori Kibun” – meaning Heartwarming delicious Pho bowl, Acecook hopes that the traditional and delicate “Pho” will become more familiar and contribute to the diversity of food in the country of cherry blossoms, Japan.
